Tell Me More About Empathy with Jane Zink, Deputy Director of the IAEYC
Ken and Michelle are learning all about empathy with Jane Zink, Deputy Director of the Idaho Association of the Education of Young Children located in Boise, Idaho.
What is Empathy?
Empathy involves actively understanding and sharing the feelings of another person.
Learn how you can model empathy with your child. And remember to also give yourself empathy when you miss the mark. You can always circle back and try again.
Learn how do be an active listener...simply asking "Tell me more" can open up communication with your child. And be prepared to listen to understand and not to respond.
